Paladin's Quest was a rental that was always at our local toy store. I actually didn't mind it. The music is pretty good and the graphics imo are charming in their own way. The real issue is magic... not that it drains health, that it is either broken or going to brake you. You have to take time out at some point to grind magic... which gets stronger the more you cast. If you grind too much, the game is a breeze. If you dont grind enough, you get run over by enemies that can attack you 4-6 times per turn.

The final criminal kingpin boss of the original Final Fight sounds an awful lot like (wheelchair) Stephen from SMT IV Apocalypse where all hell breaks loose when he stands up from his wheelchair to fight you unhindered!!!! 😮

Another big issue in my opinion, is that they kept building it up as a competitor to consoles, but it wasn't, it was a competitor to Steam. If they had marketed it that way, had the free version from the beginning, with pro membership as an option, it might have had a better chance.

Try turning on my Xbox and it says, sorry we can't find your internet connection. Guess I had a few hundred dollar paper weight at that point. Ended up firing up my Switch in the end. Thinking about how you navigate your balls is tight!

Lego Battles was one of my favorite games as a kid and probably one of the first strategy games I'd ever played. One of my issues as a kid was the unit and building count in free play. Wish that was adjustable, though I don't know if that was for performance. Otherwise, even visiting the game back as an adult, it's interesting trying to beat some of the missions as quick as possible or with 0 deaths. And weirdly, I started to pick up on things as a kid too. Where units were likely to struggle with pathfinding, generally the best units of each sort of 'class', and an odd little glitch where if your hero used hotwire and an enemy vehicle (flying special units were what I did but I'm not sure if larger ground units might also work) were on top of standard ground units or a hero, you could convert not only the flying vehicle, but also those ground units. This allowed the creation of buildings of a different type if you got a builder and having *two* Heroes at once. The other team could build another of their own Hero, but still, having two powerful units like that was the coolest thing as a kid and I remember showing that to my cousin back in the day.

GameCube so high is a literal crime. Barely had any good games that weren’t already on other consoles of the gen, and is really only called one of the best because of zoomers who grew up with it. It has a few good games, like Mario sunshine, Mario kart double dash, Metroid prime, legend of Zelda twilight princess, and smash bros melee, but overall, overrated.

Did you know that the game for spectrum called Chaos was a gamesworkshop game? Wizards fight each other with spells and the creature summons are either real or illusion. Was great for its time. Not sure though if was just a gw product so unrelated to warhammer.
